Sandra

Sandra is the friendly owner of Headcase Hats, and says opening a hat store was an idea that literally appeared out of nowhere! This idea, however, has turned out to be one of her best, as she loves her store and the people she meets everyday!

Sandra believes in old-fashioned customer service. Paying attention to her customers, welcoming them, appreciating everyone who visits, and encouraging people to have fun is a must for her! Sandra's special talent of looking at a person and picking out the perfect hat for them gets better everyday!

Sarah

Customers appreciate Sarah's friendly service, patience and her freaky ability to understand their elusive hat descriptions of hats seen once upon a time, 5 years ago, during a vacation. We don't know how she does it!

Sarah is creative, full of great ideas and incredibly helpful. She's responsible for many of the hat repairs and restorations at HeadCase Hats, and you'd be wise to bring your questions and hats to her for advice!

Ashley

Ashley, aka 'HeadCase Fly Girl" has braved the outdoor elements for almost two years every Saturday, handing out HeadCase flyers.

Without Ashley, many people would've walked by our entrance without realizing there was an amazing hat store upstairs! Ashley, you rock!!!

Caitlin

Caitlin is our newest team member at Headcase. Caitlin is 'Tres Zany Chic' and comes up with all sorts of cool stuff for our clients.

She is very helpful and we love working with (mostly because she bakes amazing cupcakes and keeps us fed and happy).

Hat Cleaning Tips

Tips for Wool or Fur Felt Hats

The best tip we have to share with you to help keep your felt hat in great condition over many years is this:

Try your best to avoid getting your felt hat soaking wet.

We know that being caught in the rain or snow is going to happen, but try, if you can, to avoid major downpours of rain.

If your hat is weather protected (via scotchgaurd, etc), or if your hat is a very high quality & treated fur felt, it can withstand various weather conditions much better than hats that are not.

Hat Wearing Tips

Most of our customers would say that anytime is a great time to wear your hat, and we couldn't agree more with that statement.

However if you prefer to have a few more guidelines on when to wear your formal hats, here are a few examples:

Formal Hat Appropriate Events

  • Any event that takes place before 6pm.
  • Art Galleries
  • Museums
  • Brunch
  • Mother's Day
  • Tea
  • Weddings
  • Fashion Shows
